$1000 Bill Vantage Point

01

Have you ever taken a closer look at a Canadian thousand-dollar bill and wanted to visit the location featured on it? Chances are, you’ve never seen a Canadian thousand-dollar bill before, but a visit to L’Anse-Saint-Jean can get you halfway there!

Between 1954 and 1992, the Bank of Canada released thousand dollar banknotes, with the location featured on it being the “$1000 Vantage Point ” in L’Anse-Saint-Jean, with the Pont du Faubourg in the centre of it.

With a short 500-metre hike, you can find yourself gazing upon a thousand-dollar view. Take a moment to stop by the informational plaques to learn more about its history.
