History

For those interested in the rich history of PEI’s Acadian culture, you must visit this museum!

Founded in 1996, the Acadian Museum boasts carefully preserved artifacts that date as far back as the nineteenth century. A permanent display available for your viewing pleasure is “The Acadians of the Island, a community and its history,” which walks you through the history of the Acadians to the present day. There are also temporary exhibitions to watch, so keep up with their website!
