Considered a moderately challenging route, the Acadian Peninsula Cycle Route is a 41.4 km long trail. On average, it takes under 10 hours to complete with an elevation gain of almost 400m.

The route is part of a larger initiative to connect the entire Acadian Peninsula through biking trails, which cost $15m to complete back in 2018. This larger Trail is 96km from Bathurst to Shippagan, taking an average of 5 days to complete on foot. The trail goes through villages and lagoons and reaches the eastern sea.
