February/March

Hockey was born and raised on Canada’s frozen ponds, lakes, dugouts and rivers. Outdoors in the crisp winter air, no red or blue lines, no face-off circles, in the open and just for fun. The Alberta Pond Hockey Championships will tip its hat to the days when hockey was played the way nature intended it.

Lac Cardinal Provincial Park, located between Peace River and Grimshaw, provides a picturesque setting. Besides offering some “good old hockey games,” the tournament will offer a range of events for the whole family to enjoy.
