National Historic Site of Canada
The Alberton Museum and Genealogy Center is located in Alberton’s former courthouse and jail, built-in 1878. The Alberton Court House was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1981.
The museum features multiple displays including military history, house hauling, the early fishing industry, copper shop, local folk art, and so many more.
Open Monday-Saturday from 9:30 am-5:30 pm, the Alberton Museum and Genealogy Center is a fantastic spot to stop by and learn about the town’s history.
