Aspen Beach Provincial Park

02

Recommended by Merry Kuchle

On the south shores of Gull Lake is the Aspen Beach Provincial Park, a popular location where you can escape to relax and have fun. In the summer, from May to September, you can enjoy Ebeling Beach, which is located within the park and is one of the most popular beaches in central Alberta.

There is even a playground, boat launching area, fire pits, picnic tables and trails for an abundant selection of recreational activities. It is recommended that you arrive early because there is limited parking space that fills up quickly during the summer heat. The area also has a campground for those who want more than just a day trip.

If you visit in the winter, there will also be activities available. There is a maintained skating rink. Surrounding it are lights, fire pits, picnic tables and benches where you can enjoy a cup of cozy hot chocolate. The area also has over 8 km of trails packed and groomed for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
