Belvédère Denis-Papin

07

Belvédère Denis-Papin is a historical landmark inaugurated in October 2011 in memory of Denis Papin, mayor of Lac-Simon in 2009 in 2011, who died of illness before he could complete his term. This is a historic site for Lac Simon and a stunning place for a picnic with a pavilion for a rainy day. The spot is a magnificent vantage point for a sweet view of Lac Simon. Whether you go in the Fall to see Lac Simon in all its colours or in the Winter when animals can be spotted from above crossing the lake. Enjoy the view, have some lunch, and take some photos!

Check out the plaque dedicated to Denis Papin: “He passed away quietly, at peace with his God, leaving his loved ones in deep pain. His righteousness, the goodness of his heart, won him the affection of all those around him. He leaves his family a respected and honoured name, the memory of a loving and devoted husband, and the memory of a father who can be cherished with pride. Father up there, watch over us and often come and bless us.”
