Winter month visitors should bring their skis and take a weekend trip to the volunteer-run Big Bam Ski Area. The 12-acre ski and snowboard hill is open every weekend and offers slopes for all skill levels. If you take a trip outside of the winter months, you need not worry: the hill hosts many more events in the fall and summer seasons. The slopes are perfect for mountain biking events such as the Big Bam Vertical Slam and the Giv’r to the Riv’r races.
