The Blende River Viaduct-Pass Lake Trestle is a historic steel truss bridge that spans the Blende River. It was built in 1911 by the Canadian Northern Railway.
The trestle is approximately 1,000 feet long and stands around 100 feet tall. It was a significant engineering feat at the time of its construction and was an important part of the Canadian Northern Railway’s transcontinental rail network.
The Blende River Viaduct-Pass Lake Trestle has been recognized as a historic site by the Ontario Heritage Trust. It is no longer used for railway purposes but remains an important part of the local landscape and a popular spot for tourists and residents.
