Opened in June 1997, the Bois-Francs Linear Park bike path begins in Tingwick and crosses several municipalities, reaching Lyster.
Laid out on an old railway track with a rolling surface of stone dust on 90% of the 77 kilometres of track and a maximum drop of 2%, the Bois-Francs Linear Park crosses most of the St. Lawrence Lowlands. Made up of large flat plains and scenic clearances along the route are common, which gives cyclists a feeling of freedom. It offers a view of generous nature with breathtaking panoramas. In the forest, in the countryside or near waterways, it’s an overall delightful cycling experience.
The Bois-Francs Linear Park has earned several awards from the tourism industry. It was named “Silver National Winner,” “Tourist Company – Public Prize,” and “Regional Winner” in several competitions. The park has even received the Ambassador par excellence prize, awarded by Tourisme Bois-Francs.
