Prairie Gardens & Adventure Farm

A cute farm in Bon Accord that offers family events and the opportunity to pick strawberries and pumpkins, depending on the season. They have run for many years and are award winners for the customer service and care they provide to customers. They liken themselves to taking your kids to grandma and grandpa’s farm from the ‘50s.

Some of the activities they offer at the farm are corn mazes, a petting farm, a gem mine, pick your strawberries, campfires, and more. If you love the fall atmosphere, you will love this farm. Depending on the event you partake in, you will pay a different fee. I recommend this place highly!

Dark Sky

Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the night sky in Bon Accord.

Bon Accord has received an International Dark Sky Community designation from the International Dark Sky Society. Bon Accord is the first Canadian community and the 11th in the world to secure the designation.

Springbrook Park

A beautiful small park within Bon Accord that offers fun for children and adults alike. It is the perfect park to bring the family to because of its playground equipment and spaces of an open field which children of all ages can enjoy.

Also, something unique to the area is its heritage rose garden. The garden houses several different flowers and colours for people to enjoy. Not to mention it is the perfect place for a photo op! Such a cute park that all should check out.

If you love art and unique forms of expression, you will want to check out Pottery by Heather. A studio offers hand-crafted functional art that customers can use in everyday life. Also, it is a perfect way of getting a piece of local art and a gift for yourself or loved ones. The studio offers ready-to-buy pieces, or you can order your custom piece depending on your needs and what you want from your art.

To come to this studio, you do need to book an appointment, but it is well worth it. In addition to their lovely art, they also have events occasionally throughout the year that you don’t want to miss!

Chelsea’s Pub and Family Restaurant

When going to a town on vacation, one of the first things you have to do is test their food. It is a perfect way to get a sense of the community and even enlighten your taste buds sometimes. The place you will do that with, in Bon Accord, is Chelsea’s Pub. This pub feels like home and is a comfortable place for many within the community.

They offer familiar favourites with the introduction of some newfound favourites. People within Bon Accord and those who have visited highly recommend those new to Bon Accord to check Chelsea’s Pub out.

Veterans’ Memorial Park

This park was built to honour the locals who fought in WWI/WWII and lost their lives. A beautiful park landscaped with memorials for the soldiers and their families. All can find refuge in remembering those lost during combat, whether from Bon Accord or not. Many come to the park to pay tribute to the fallen and relax in the atmosphere it provides.

The park also allows you to learn about Bon Accord’s history with the world wars and be proud of the community that has grown to pay tribute to those lost. Also, since Bon Accord is designated to be an IDA Dark Sky Preserve, it is a perfect place to see the night sky fully.

Jurassic Forest in Bon Accord, Alberta

Jurassic Forest

Jurassic Forest is an amazing family fun activity! Are you a dino fan or looking for some hands-on theme park fun? Then you have to come to Jurassic Forest. You will feel like experiencing something out of the movies with their exhibits. Everyone there says it is amazing fun for the whole family, and the staff is friendly. Those visiting can walk discovery trails, play mini golf, or go to the active learning park! No matter what you choose, you will surely have a great time at Jurassic Forest. I highly recommend checking it out for those who love dinosaurs!

Spring Creek Golf Course

A beautiful 18-hole course open week-long and highly recommended by tourists. The wide greens and landscapes of the course are sure to captivate any golf lover at heart. Also, the beauty of this course is that you do not have to commit to any club to golf on their fields and can just drop in for a tee time! They also offer the ability to play 9- or 18-hole golf, depending on what you want for that day. It gives a choice to those coming and allows all to make the game their own. Overall, you want to check out these greens if you truly love golf when visiting Bon Accord.
