Oxtongue River Rapids

Two kilometres (km) east of the junction of Highways 35 and 60. After turning right, go 1 km on the paved road until it narrows and continues for another 2 kilometres to the monument.

It’s a lovely place to unwind, picnic, and take a quick 1-kilometre route (2km round trip). Many photographers and artists will go back since it is particularly lovely with the fall colours. Because of the steep slopes leading up to the river’s edge and the trail’s proximity to a swift-moving river, parents must always supervise young children. Travel west down the route to the left of the road you came from, starting from the monument.

This lakefront resort is 6.4 kilometres from Huntsville’s centre on Peninsula Lake. There are two outdoor swimming pools, a spa on site, and a sizable inflatable water park on the lake among the amenities.

There are two year-round restaurants at Deer Hurst Resort: Eclipse Dining Room and Compass Grill & Lounge.

This resort is open year-round and offers amenities and activities for each season. During the summer, visitors may go golfing, boating, treetop trekking, and horseback riding. Snowmobiling, sleigh rides, ice skating, and dog sledding are examples of wintertime pastimes.

Cedar Grove Lodge

A year-round cottage resort, Cedar Grove Lodge is situated on Muskoka, Ontario’s stunning Peninsula Lake. This lakeside resort, just a short drive from Huntsville and Algonquin Park, has 19 separate lakefront villas spread out along 1600 feet of undeveloped beach.

We are not like a hotel or a sizable resort. Generations of Muskoka vacationers have returned year after year thanks to our long heritage of providing distinctive log cottages with stone fireplaces.
