Brady’s Beach is located on the west side of Bamfield and has no paved road leading to it!
To get to Brady’s Beach, you can hike a few days along the West Coast Trail or take a rough 90 km drive from Port Alberni along a barren gravel road occupied by nothing but logging trucks. You can also take a boat or float plane from Ucluelet to Bamfield or accompany a freighter as it makes several stops to deliver freight through an 800km route through the Broken Islands. Another option is to take a five-minute water taxi if you find yourself on the east side of Bamfield. From there, it is a short, 40-minute hike along a well-marked gravel road to reach the island.
Brady’s beach features spectacular views, a picturesque boardwalk, massive rock stacks, diverse foliage and a blowhole that can spout 20 feet of waves into the air.
