This great museum is open year-round, offering special events, concerts, education programs and children, adult and family programming. Be sure to check the website for entry rates and timings. The museum features many exhibits, such as “Bruce Remembers,” which is the story of the 160th Bruce Battalion from World War 1.
You can experience life in the trenches and try on soldier’s uniforms and gas masks worn in World War 1. Another exhibit called “Riding the Rails” takes you to when the railway stretched through Bruce Country to the Huron shoreline. Overall, the exhibits are family, friends and interactive, so people of all ages can participate and enjoy them! The Museum opened in 1955 and has undergone several transformations and updates.
