Camp Hughes was a Canadian military training camp made to prepare soldiers for World War 1.
Used all the way back in 1909, it is now decommissioned but still guarded by national defence due to CFB Shilo being only a kilometre away.

In 2011 it was honoured as a National Historic Site, as it is now one of the only WW1 era trenches still remaining in the world. The site hosts more information about its slight use in WW2 and the Cold War, as well as the historic cemetery located on-site.
