A real relic of the ice age, it was used as a landmark to the Indigenous people, the North West Mounted Police, and early Canadian settlers. Made of large sandstone and clay with alkali and coal deposits.
Either climb to the top and take in the sensational views or walk the base and view the monument in its giant glory, suitable for all ages of adventures but climbing the top is reserved for those more eager to show their skills.
