Castlegar’s Canadian Pacific Railway Museum is placed on a 100+-year-old station, yet it is well preserved, being built in 1902 and going through a fire.
It is located near downtown Castlegar and has plenty of parking available. The museum was reconstructed after a fire in 1906. The CPR museum is a beautiful property open year-round and has admission by donation. The museum is filled with fascinating archives of exhibits like tools, machines, and newspapers. Visitors can also stop by the gift shop, which includes various souvenirs, including handmade items made by the locals.
