Bridal Veil Falls

Located just east of Chilliwack, Bridal Veil Falls is one of the most beautiful sites in the area. The falls tower over 60-meters and are just a short hike from the highway. Furthermore, there is an abundance of trails and picnic spots in the area.

The Park is located on the south side of the Fraser River, 16 km east of Chilliwack. Take Exit 135 off Highway 1 and follow the signs. The nearest communities, towns and cities are Bridal Falls and Chilliwack.

Chilliwack Tulip Festival

April

The Chilliwack Tulip Festival was started in 2006 and remains British Columbia’s largest tulip attraction. For most of April millions of tulips bloom to be enjoyed by everyone.

Chilliwack’s Tulip Festival is a must see for photographers and flower enthusiasts.

Lindeman Lake

Located just a short drive from Chilliwack, this pristine lake is filled with crystal clear aqua blue water with incredible mountain views.

The lake is accessible by car, but there are many trail networks located in the area. Furthermore, there are camp sites, and the area is dog friendly.

Home Town of Jordyn Huitema

Born and raised in Chilliwack, Jordyn Huitema is one of the world’s most elite soccer players. Huitema plays for Paris Saint-Germain Feminines as well as the Canadian National Team. Huitema is seen as the successor to Christine Sinclair as Canadas best female player.

Jordyn began playing soccer at four years of age with Chilliwack FC. She attended middle school at Rosedale Middle School in Chilliwack.

Cultus Lake Waterpark

Cultus Lake Waterpark is British Columbia’s largest waterpark! Featuring slides, rides, pools, and hot tubs, there is no shortage of things to do at Cultus Lake Waterpark. Concessions are located all over the park as well as picnic benches and grassy areas.

Home Town of Diana Swain

Diana Swain, the CBC’s Senior Investigative Correspondent, grew up in Chilliwack.

Swain is one of the biggest names in Canadian Journalism and currently hosts The Investigators with Diana Swain.  

In 1983, Diana graduated from high school here. One year later, she represented Chilliwack in the Miss Canada pageant. She worked for a weekly magazine in Chilliwack and as a reporter at both the Chilliwack Progress and the radio station CHWK, before moving on to a radio station in Kamloops BC.
