Christ Church Colchester

06

The chapel was rebuilt in 1957-58 using the original stone of the First Church, built by 1819.

At that time, the members of the church were part of the Essex militia. The founder, Rev. Richard Pollard, was a prominent member of Amherstburg and Fort Malden, as well as ministered to “300 souls in Colchester”.
