One of the world’s biggest underground hydroelectric power plants, the Churchill Falls Generating Station supplies clean, renewable electricity to millions of customers across North America.
The enormous Churchill River, with its 5,428 megawatts of generating capacity, is harnessed by eleven turbines.
Times for tours are Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Excursions should be scheduled in advance. Plans for weekend tours must be submitted by Friday at 5 p.m. Visitors older than 18 must supply contact information and present photo identification. Children over the age of eight are permitted on the trip but need a form of identification.
