History

Located in the town’s original train station, the CN Museum is a place to learn more about what life was like in the early 1900s for the residents of Smoky Lake. There you’ll be able to find items that were originally used in the station and general items from around the town. Pictures throughout the town’s history can also be viewed.

Outside the building, you’ll find an old train caboose you can go in and explore, as well as a performing arts stage. On top of that, the museum doubles as a tourist information centre, which makes it the perfect place to come and learn and ask any questions you may have about the town while learning about its history.
