Cobourg East Pierhead Lighthouse

old picture of lighthouse

09

Beloved spot of local citizens for a stroll on a pier.

The Pierhead Lighthouse is a historic reminder about the early 20th century when the lighthouse was built. Back in the days, lighthouse keepers were responsible for ensuring the fog horns’ operation and recording weather conditions and water levels, all of vital importance to mariners.

Gorgeous lookout place.
