Just a 10-minute drive from Wellesley is the Conestogo Lake Conservation Area. This protected area offers so much to do and makes for a fun day trip or rest stop on a road trip through the countryside. Visitors can enjoy fishing, hikes, birding, and cycling around the conservation area. There are also water activities like boating, swimming, canoeing, or paddling.

The conservation area is a popular spot to camp, as there are several facilities for guests to use, including a beach, boat launch, playgrounds and sports field, concession stands, washrooms, and a waste and recycling program.
