The Dory Shop Museum showcases the iconic Shelburne Dory and the history of the Grand Banks fishery. Since opening in 1887, the historic Dory shop has turned over 50,000 dories.
In 1983, Prince Charles and Princess Diana officially opened the Dory shop as a museum to share the art of crafting these vessels with tourists and the local community.
This harbour-side museum highlights traditional ship-building techniques as well as more modern methods. They also host seasonal events throughout the year.
