The Atlas preserves the last of the 139 mines which operated in the Drumheller Valley from 1911-1979 when “Coal was King” in the Drumheller Valley.

Beautiful views of the Red Deer River Valley. You can watch as the river snakes its way through the valley for many kilometres. The view is calming and relaxing.
