Dumoine Valley Guides is located on the shores of the spectacular Ottawa River, which surrounds the island and municipality of Rapides des Joachims (Swisha). The island is situated on the western border of Pontiac County in the Outaouais region.
Since it opened its doors in 1987, the lodge has provided various outdoor pursuits, including canoeing on lakes and white-water rivers, snowmobiling, all-terrain vehicle (ATV) riding, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing paths, as well as animal and bird viewing.
You will be surrounded by the most diversified deciduous forest in Quebec, home to the massive White Pine and the Dumoine River, which is regarded as the last major river in the province.
