This traditional and historic church was built between 1774 and 1797, inspired by neo-baroque architecture. The interior decor was created by Philippe Liébert, including a painting of Saint Joachim himself. Between 1780 and 1892, about 13 people were buried under the church floor.
Some minor renovations were conducted on the church in 1894 after British troops damaged it. It has been considered heritage and historical monument since 1955. Stopping by the church grounds is an excellent addition to any travel plans to taste the area’s history!
