The Church of Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce is nearly as old as Canada, with construction completed in 1868, a year after Canada was founded. Nevertheless, the church is anything but run down and is beautiful in a number of ways.
The pulpit alone is a beautiful marvel of woodwork and craftsmanship, with its dark wood creating a beautiful contrast against the natural light that the church absorbs and re-emits. The church’s altar also presents stunning paintings which naturally draw one’s eyes to the front of the church.
