An architectural wonder, the Église Saint-Joseph is one of two Catholic churches in town. Clad with beautiful stone, the structure is set against the spectacular views of the Chambly basin. Initially built in 1739, this church was made of wood and had to be rebuilt three times due to fires.
The current structure is the fourth and final version built in 1881. It still holds the same foundations and sections of some masonry walls as the original church, speaking for its evolution. Inspired by medieval architecture, the bell tower symbolizes light and resurrection. With peaceful surroundings, this magnificent church will transform you into a meditative space.
