60th Parallel Territorial Park

The 60th Parallel Territorial Park is a central location for entering the Northwest Territories border from Alberta.

The 60th Parallel of the Northwest Territories is an excellent spot for a stopover while taking pictures of the landmark with your family and friends while having a glimpse of the Northwest Territories border. A scenic picnic area is also available for travellers who need a short break by relaxing and eating in the parking area.

Tourists and travellers can also access The Visitor Information Centre to have insights into Aboriginal Arts, crafts, and exciting displays in their exhibition area. Visitors can also enjoy seeing the audiovisual presentation inside the centre while having a sneak peek at the northern lifestyle in the Northwest Territories.

Twin Falls Gorge Territorial Park

Twin Falls Gorge Territorial Park is considered one of the most popular and recognized parks in the Northwest Territories.

The park is located 75 kilometres north of the Alberta border. It also has other scenic areas, washrooms, and other day-area facilities to use for a quick stopover during a long trip. The Twins Falls Gorge is one of the main tourist sightings for travellers to see a glimpse of the spectacular falls.

Other scenic walking trail areas include Alexandra Falls and a winding spiral staircase that will take you to the sightings of the river and the top views of Louise Falls.

Alexandra Falls

Alexandra Falls is one of the epitomes and a spectacular landmark in the central location of the Twin Falls Gorge Territorial Park.

The falls are considered to be the third highest in Northwest Territories. It is a perfect short-visit for long-trip travellers from the south or the 60th Parallel of Northwest Territories. Not only is it near Enterprise, but visitors can never be genuinely bored by going on a stroll on the boardwalk and seeing the fast-paced Alexandra Falls dropping 32 meters over a limestone ridge.

The shop is located on the Mackenzie Highway in Enterprise.

McNallie Creek Territorial Park Day Use Area

The Mcnaillie Creek Territorial Park has a walking trail that leads to the 17-meter McNaille Creek Falls, with breathtaking views of the cliffs while the falls run deeply.

The park has a small picnic area and washrooms, which visitors can enjoy a memorable experience while viewing the beautiful park and the breathtaking falls. Once you reach the viewing platform area of the falls, the plaque mentions all the historical and origin details behind the creek’s name.
