This small farmhouse is a total family—and community—affair!
Initially established in 2005 by Denise and Pierre, their daughter, Jasmine, joined the business in 2013, and now their son, Nicholas, is part of the team, too—but still, they are not alone. Friends and family help them with sugars, harvesting, and even the birthing of lambs!
A farm determined to use environmentally and animal-friendly methods, Ferme du Haut Vallon has four main productions that overlap throughout the seasons. Approximately 140 lambs are born each spring and graze with their mother until July. From the end of August, they have a variety of certified organic apples that can be purchased until sold out, such as Honeycrisp, Spartan, Ariane, Topaz, and more! Their organic garlic is harvested in July, dried until August, and sowed in the fall. Maple syrup is harvested and produced every spring—along with their delicious maple butter—and like their other products, is available until stock runs out.
