Foam Lake Museum

05

If you want to learn more about the town’s history, then the Foam Lake Museum is a great place to stop and visit. The museum is located in a near-century-old brick building and contains artifacts that were used throughout the history of Foam Lake. Freshly baked bread can also be baked at the museum using a traditional Ukrainian clay oven that is available in the museum.

Aside from the main museum building, the museum also includes the Douglas Heritage house, a house built in 1915 that was previously occupied by community members before the museum bought it. There, you’ll be able to view the house’s original layout and see what life used to be like for the residents of Foam Lake. History about the house’s former residents can also be learned during your visit.
