Fort Simpson territorial park is located near the McKenzie river and a local athletic park.

This is a great location for bird-watching and listening to the chorus of northern frogs. Migratory waterfowl may be seen in season, including tundra swans and snow geese. A community trail around the perimeter of the community of Fort Simpson links several historic sites.
