History

Relive Brighton’s history by visiting Brighton’s former Town Hall. The Hilton Hall Heritage Centre was built in 1861 at 50 Chatten Road and served as the Town Hall until 2001. Although the exterior of the building has undergone major renovations, the interior is being preserved by the Friends of Hilton Hall Heritage Centre, who is also working on staging exhibits, researching Brighton’s history, and creating a digital archive.
