Galiano Island Books is an Independent Bookstore owned and operated by Lee Trentadue and Jim Schmidt, a Husband and Wife duo who were inspired to open the store after their daughter. Galiano Island Books has a rich history in Galiano Island, providing the town with books, gifts and other commodities for 20 years.

This bookstore is a great place to pick up a new book or explore the funky socks, tote bags, puppets and other gifts they offer. With over 14,000 books in stock, you will be able to find something that is perfect. Even if you do not plan on buying a book, Galiano Island Books is still worth the visit to speak to Lee and Jim about the bookstore’s history.
