George C. Harris House is a local history museum in the centre of Grand Banks’s historic downtown. The property dates to 1816, and it has been home to many significant local politicians and influential families in the community’s history.
The structure is a three-storied dwelling that looks over the Grand Bank Harbour. It has two chimneys and a steep rooftop. The house gets its name from George C. Harris, one of the most famous businessmen in the town’s history. In 1993 the house became a Registered Heritage Structure.
