Gillam Recreational Centre

The 19,000 square-foot Community Centre has a recent addition that comprises a new library, children’s play area, youth lounge, fitness center, movie theatre, and meeting spaces.

The 7,300 square-foot arena has four change rooms and a revamped grandstand for rink viewing. The center also has renovated the hockey arena and curling rink areas.

Fishing Guides – Kaska Goose Lodge

With Gillam’s numerous lakes, rivers, and streams in the surrounding area, fishing is a very popular sport.

Some types of fish you might expect to lure here are Walleye, Perch, Northern Pike, Sauger, Goldeye, Mooneye, Whitefish, Sucker, Silver Bass, Brook Trout, Sturgeon, Mariah, and Carp. Licenses may be purchased from Conservation or the Gillam Insurance Agency in the Town Mall.

Canoeing Trip

Pumphouse Beach

Hydro Dams

There are three large hydroelectric dams in the Gillam area. Come for a guided tour through one of these breathtaking facilities. You will see how it works from the inside out and be amazed at how much goes into one of these massive structures.
