This next destination is for people who want to travel back in French history! A beautiful 18th-century construction, the Governors’ Cottage is a designated National Historic Site.

Built in 1781 by Sir Frederick Haldimand, the house possesses a rich regional history as it was used as a residence during the war by the commander-in-chief and later as a summer residence. The one-and-a-half-storey traditional Quebec-style house was turned into the Governor’s Cottage Exhibition Center in April 1990. This historical treasure is a must-visit!
