December
Starting in 2016, this annual festival is put on during December. The festival originated due to the UN-designated holiday, International Mountain Day, and is used to celebrate the impacts the mountains have had on First Nations cultures and traditions, as well as the general impact on the culture of the Yukon as a whole.
Activities of the festival include live music, local films, trivia, food, Indigenous stories, and more. The festival is free to visit, and people of all ages are welcome. For more resources to help you plan your visits around the festival, such as dining services and accommodations, you can visit the festival’s website.
