Just down the road from Vernon’s Thunderbird Diner is the Hammonds Plains Disc Golf Course. It’s an 18-hole course open to the public and free. The course uses seldom-used roads, trails, wooded areas, and open areas under powerlines. Plus, you can grab some great grub after working up an appetite.

Though open to the public, the course is located on private land. As such, it’s asked that players are respectful to the owner Mr. Kynock and his dog Brutus.
