Canadian Olympic Athlete

Mascouche is the hometown of Émilie Mondor, a Canadian athlete who competed in the Olympics. Born in 1981, Émilie came in 10th place in a junior race as a participant at the 1998 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. She was a two-time national champion, winning the women’s 5,000 metres race. A running trail event is held annually in the town to commemorate Émilie, ranging from 1 to 15 km long.
