Al Simmons was born in Anola in 1948 and continues to own property and live there. He is a children’s entertainer who has gone on to win a Juno award for his debut album called “Something’s Fishy at Camp Wiganishie”.
Simmons has since won multiple Juno awards, U.S. Parents’ Choice Awards, and multiple other awards one being for his book. He regularly tours both Canada and the United States and has made guest appearances on both Sesame Street and Fred Penner’s television show.
