The huge statue is supposed to represent a stereotypical First Nations Chief. The giant chief’s head was made in 1984 and is about 1,587 kg. It is a good spot to stop for a selfie.

This monument is very significant to Indian Head’s history because years ago, many Indigenous people of Saskatchewan used to reside there. Therefore, this monument is how we pay respect to the people who originally owned this land.
