Kirkland Lake Miners’ Memorial

02

Recommended by tjtarajean66

There are very old mines around Kirkland Lake. Dedicated to the city’s many mining labourers, this 10-metre tall sculpture has become a landmark for the Kirkland Lake community.

With a touching plaque in memorial of all the miners that contributed to the country’s prosperity and economy, this edifice, surrounded by a beautiful nature landscape, is an excellent symbol of the town’s rich contribution to Canadian history.
