Parc de la rivière

Right in the centre of L’Ancienne-Lorette lies Parc de la rivière. The park has a beautiful trail spanning 4.8 km and the scenic Lorette river, which lies in between, creating nature’s paradise scenery. From family picnics to hiking with friends, this park has everything needed to create a memorable evening!

The park offers a hotspot for picnics, disc, and boat rentals. It’s the perfect venue to visit in the Fall, especially when the surrounding nature turns into warm and colourful shades of fall, expressed on the trees alongside the flowing river, creating the most appealing picture for your eyes. Also, they offer water activities for the summer!

Home Town of Myriam BĂ©dard

Myriam BĂ©dard is a biathlete. She represented Canada at two Winter Olympics, winning gold and bronze medals.

Myriam was born in L’Ancienne-Lorette in 1969. Bédard took up biathlon at 15 and entered her first competition the next year using rented skis. Three years later, she was a member of the national team.
