Maison Rosalie-Cadron

Did I hear someone say 19th-century French-Canadian History? Well, you’re in luck because Maison Rosalie-Cadron is a historical site situated in Lavaltrie on the historical route known as Chemin du Roy, this museum narrates the incredible story of Rosalie Cadron-Jetté, as well as the lifestyle habits of the dwellers of the countryside in the start of the 19th century, by organizing exhibitions, workshops and events the intention is to promote french history and heritage in general, and its visits are suitable for school groups, tourists and people passing through who would like a taste of french culture.

The building, built in 1790, has something for all.

Complexe Aquatique Desjardins

Make the most of your summer at Desjardins Aquatic Complex. Come cool down with a swim, or join in on some water games and activities at the center. There are washroom facilities on the premises and lifeguards on duty to ensure safety. The prices of admission can be found on the website. The games run from 7 am to 9 pm, so no matter what time you drop by, you’re sure to find something fun to do!

Parc Gérard-Lavallée

After a quick swim at Desjardins Aquatic Complex, come right next door for a day of outdoor activities at Gérard-Lavallée Park. The park has something for all sports, with multiple soccer fields, a baseball field, tennis and pickleball courts, and a basketball court!

For park-goers who just want to play games on their day out, the park also has a games box and recreational game modules. The park is also great for winter, with an artificial snow sliding area, an ice rink, and the Chalet de la Seigneurie.

Galerie Archambault

Established in 1977, Galerie Archambault has been displaying and selling works from over 40 Quebecois artists as well as many other Canadian artists. The art gallery sells sculptures, paintings, and mixed-media art from contemporary artists as well as many Canadian greats. Past exhibitions have included ‘La Mythologie,’ ‘Les Laureats,’ and ‘Ambiances de Chasse et de Pêche.’

Maison des Contes et Légendes de Lavaltrie

House of Tales and Legends

Built as the residence of Lavaltrie sculptor Lucien Benoit, the neo-Victorian building became home to art in March 2009. Many artists and craftsmen from the area got together to create the house turned Museum to preserve Lavaltrie’s history. The museum opened in September 2010 and now hosts a museum, meeting space, and performance hall.

The House is also home to the Pierre-Kemp Genealogy Library, named after Mr. Pierre Kemp, the 1995-1999 mayor of Saint-Antoine-de-Lavaltrie. Learn Lavaltrie’s history in tales and legends at this beautiful museum!
