Located 6 minutes outside Frank, the Leitch Collieries Provincial Historic Site is a great place to stop and learn some history of the past coal mining community in the Crowsnest Pass.

This Canadian-owned and operated mining venture abandoned due to the effects of World War 1 and then again in World War 2, among other things, is a perfect window into what was an ambitious endeavour.
