These fields have been growing and thriving for about two decades, and there are almost 20,000 blueberry plants today. This is no small feat, but it was made possible by the love and passion that was put in day after day for years and years.
In August, you can visit and indulge in self-picking (baskets are provided). From around the end of July to the beginning of September, you can go to their kiosk to pick up fresh blueberries that have already been picked! If you can’t make it during blueberry season, you can always grab some of their frozen blueberries, which are available all year.
You must visit their restaurant (Café du Vire-Crêpes) for lunch or a snack! Every dish incorporates blueberries in some way—this includes their pastries, too! There are so many to choose from: blueberry pie, blueberry scones, blueberry muffins, blueberry cheesecake… You get the idea. They also have sorbet, gelato, and soft ice cream, and if you’re lucky enough to visit during the season, you’ll be able to try their soft blueberry ice cream (La Vedette)!
