The House of Dunes, or La Maison des Dunes in French, is a point in Tadoussac where large sand dunes meet the water. The geological formation of the area was created back during the Ice Age, as a river continued to flow under the ice on the surface. It makes for the perfect area to visit and spend a couple of hours, especially for those looking for low-cost activities; entry to the area is free! La Maison des Dunes is also a good bird-watching location, so don’t forget your binoculars.
You can even walk down the surrounding hiking trails for a quick stop and some more spectacular views of Tadoussac.
