Marble Mountain Beach and Wharf is a beautiful beach with spectacular views and unique land formations. The beach contains white sand and turquoise water, a remarkable result of the marble quarry that opened in 1869. The crushed white marble made the beach look white, and the pH of the marble kept the water soft and clear, making it look turquoise. Visitors can swim, boat, kayak, and do all sorts of water activities here.
